NFL schedule Week 7: Who plays on Thursday night?
Week 7 of the 2016 NFL season begins on Thursday, October 20th? Which two NFL teams will play on Thursday Night Football in Week 7?
Week 7 of the 2016 NFL season will begin at Lambeau Field, as the Green Bay Packers will host their NFC North rival in the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football. Kickoff from Green Bay will be at 8:25 p.m. ET. CBS and the NFL Network will simulcast the television event and you can live stream the game on FanSided.
Chicago has one of the worst teams in football. The Bears are 1-5 on the season and have probably moved on from aloof starting quarterback Jay Cutler. Brian Hoyer has played well with Cutler being out with an injury, but the Bears are one of five teams in the NFL that are pretty much eliminated from playoff contention before Week 7.
Green Bay is 3-2 on the year. The Packers can make the NFC Playoffs this season, but will probably have to do that as a Wild Card team. Green Bay isn’t on the level of the NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings, who remain the only undefeated team in the NFL at 5-0. Let’s not forget that Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers hasn’t played up to his high standard for the last calendar year.
It’s a short week and this is a rivalry game, so this game should be an exciting one at Lambeau Field. Though Green Bay lost at home last week to the 5-1 Dallas Cowboys, the Packers are the better team over the Bears.
If the Packers can get into the end zone three times in the first half, Green Bay will win this game easily. However, second half touchdowns have been an enigma for Rodgers and the Packers offense this season. If it’s close entering the third quarter, Hoyer and the Bears have a shot at upsetting the rival Packers on Thursday Night Football.
