Lions DT Mosley sent home from London for violating team rules
Detroit Lions defensive tackle C.J. Mosley was sent home from London Saturday, a day before Sunday's matchup at Wembley Stadium against the Atlanta Falcons.
Mosley, who the Lions announced has been suspended for two weeks for conduct detrimental to the team and a violation of team rules, has provided the Lions' fierce defensive line important depth rotating in with starters Nick Fairley and Ndamukong Suh.
The Lions did not address what specific rule Mosley violated, but the team sent him home immediately.
Mosley will be eligible to return for the Nov. 9 game against Miami.
Mosley, logging 2.5 sacks this season, was replaced on the active roster by safety Jerome Couplin.
Mosley is the second Lion to arrive in London only to be sent home before gameday this week, as practice squad running back William Powell was cut Wednesday after making the long flight from the USA.
