Chargers' Jackson ready for return in Colts game

Chargers receiver Vincent Jackson is active for the first time this season, and tight end Antonio Gates also will try to play Sunday night at Indianapolis.

Running back Ryan Mathews and receiver Patrick Crayton are both inactive for the Chargers.

The Colts have scratched six starters for the game - receiver Austin Collie, running back Joseph Addai, safety Bob Sanders, linebackers Clint Session and Gary Brackett and tight end Brody Eldridge. Indy also deactivated guard Jaimie Thomas and cornerback Justin Tryon.

The Chargers have put safeties Darrell Stuckey and Steve Gregory, guard Louis Vasquez, defensive linemen Cam Thomas and Travis Johnson and tight end Kris Wilson on the inactive list.
