Bonner, Spurs teammates release music video before playoffs
The San Antonio Spurs appear to be fairly relaxed as they prepare to defend their NBA championship, releasing a lighthearted 1980s-style music video.
Matt Bonner produced, directed, edited and starred in the video that was released on Tuesday. The video featured last year's NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, Aron Baynes, Patty Mills and team mascot The Coyote as part of the mythical band ''Spuran Spuran.''
Members of the band are wearing makeup and dressed in various 80s-style musical attire, simulating playing instruments while performing the song ''Spurs!''
It is a parody of the music video ''Sports!,'' performed by Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim in the former comedy show ''Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!''
The Spurs are 55-26 entering Wednesday night's regular season finale at New Orleans.
