Kentucky, UCLA schedule home-and-home series starting in 2015
Kentucky and UCLA are set to face off later this month in Chicago, but the schools will bring this matchup to their respective campuses starting in 2015.
The Wildcats and Bruins agreed to a home-and-home series, with UCLA hosting a Dec. 3, 2015 game at Pauley Pavilion and Kentucky hosting the contest one year later at Rupp Arena.
Next year's game will mark Kentucky's first-ever visit to Pauley Pavilion.
"(UCLA coach) Steve (Alford) and I have known each other for more than 20 years. When he and I started talking about a possible series, it seemed like a no-brainer to me," Kentucky coach John Calipari said.
UCLA's 2015 game against UK adds to a Bruins nonconference schedule that will include a trip to Hawaii for the Maui Invitational in November and a game against North Carolina in December.
"This is a big win for fans of college basketball in Southern California who will now have the opportunity to watch two of the sport's most storied programs," Alford said.
