Denver rallies from 15-point deficit to beat IUPUI, 53-51

DENVER (AP) Thomas Neff made a go-ahead 3-pointer with a minute left and Denver rallied from 15 points down in the second half to beat IUPUI 53-51 on Thursday night.

Joe Rosga scored 16 points to lead Denver (12-11, 4-6 Summit League). Christian Mackey added 11 points and Neff finished with seven.

Marcellus Barksdale had 14 points for IUPUI (11-14, 7-3), which had its four-game win streak snapped.

Barksdale scored eight of the Jaguars' first 10 points of the second half to stretch their halftime lead to 40-25 with 16 minutes left. The Pioneers answered with a 23-8 run, capped by Rosga's layup to tie it at 48 with 2:20 to play. Rosga scored 13 points, Mackey added eight and IUPUI missed 11 field-goal attempts during the stretch.

The Jaguars' Aaron Brennan split a pair of free throws before Neff put Denver up for good. Mackey added a free throw to make it a four-point game with five seconds left.
