Bryant scores late jumper, edges St. Francis Brooklyn 61-59

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) Shane McLaughlin made the game-winning jump shot with four seconds left to give Bryant a 61-59 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday night.

Chris Hooper's layup with 3:48 to play stretched St. Francis Brooklyn's lead to 57-51. Nisre Zouzoua and Dan Garvin scored four points apiece to cap an 8-0 surge and Bryant led 59-57. Hooper scored on a putback to tie the game with 24 seconds remaining before McLaughlin sealed it for the Bulldogs.

Marcel Pettway had 12 points with 12 rebounds for Bryant (7-11, 4-1 Northeast Conference), which has won five of its last six games. Hunter Ware scored 14 points, and Zouzoua and Garvin added 10. McLaughlin chipped in four points with seven assists.

Tyreek Jewell scored 20 points to lead St. Francis Brooklyn (6-12, 2-3). Amdy Fall had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Hooper finished with eight points and eight rebounds.
