Drew Bledsoe defends Tom Brady over Deflategate

Published Jun. 2, 2015 11:31 p.m. ET

Once upon a time, some kid named Tom Brady stole Drew Bledsoe’s job. Now, 14 years later, the former New England Patriots quarterback is still defending him.

Bledsoe spoke to NESN’s Michaela Vernava at Tuscan Kitchen in Burlington, Mass., at a private dinner promoting his new wine, Doubleback.

“It’s really kind of crazy because it’s being treated without any comment on whether it’s true or accurate,” Bledsoe said. “It’s being treated like this major crime. Ultimately it’s something that has zero impact on the game.”

Bledsoe practically laughed off the idea of Deflategate, but unfortunately it’s no longer a laughing matter. Patriots fans can only hope NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell takes things as lightly.
