JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) The Jacksonville Jaguars have selected Notre Dame tight end Ben Koyack with their second of two picks in the seventh round of the NFL draft.

The Jaguars took Koyack with the 229th overall pick. They drafted Monmouth receiver Neal Sterling nine picks earlier and said he could grow and develop into a down-the-field tight end who could learn from Pro Bowler Julius Thomas.

The 6-foot-5, 255-pound Koyack had 30 receptions for 317 yards and two touchdowns as a senior. He finished his college career with 44 catches for 532 yards and five scores, averaging 12.1 yards a catch.

Veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis, considered one of the better blocking tight ends in the league, is entering the final year of his contract. The addition of Koyack gives Jacksonville six tight ends on its roster.
