Cowboys @ Giants Final Injury Report: Nine Players Questionable, Out

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

As the Dallas Cowboys prepare to take on the New York Giants again, nine different Cowboy players are questionable or have been ruled out for the contest.

Preparing to face a 8-4 New York Giants team on Sunday night, the 11-1 Dallas Cowboys will do so with some of their players being less than 100% healthy or ruled out completely for the upcoming contest.

Listed as questionable on Dallas’ final injury report are offensive tackle Tyron Smith (back), defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence (back), safety Barry Church (forearm), defensive end Jack Crawford (foot), linebacker Justin Durant (hamstring), and cornerback Orlando Scandrick (foot/non-football related).

Out of the six questionable players for Dallas, only Church was a full participant in all three practices this week. Smith, Crawford and Durant were all limited throughout the Cowboys practice sessions.

Scandrick was limited in the last two practices this week after attending a funeral on Wednesday. Finally, Lawrence is a real threat to miss Sunday’s matchup against the Giants as he did not practice at all in Dallas’ final two team sessions.

The Cowboys also have three players who have already been officially ruled out against the Giants on Sunday. Those names include: cornerback Morris Claiborne (groin), offensive tackle Chaz Green (back) and safety J.J. Wilcox (thigh).

Dallas Cowboys sixth round rookie cornerback Anthony Brown will once again be called upon to start in the place of the injured Claiborne in the Cowboys secondary. The impressive first-year corner played only 13 snaps the last time these two NFC East rivals met back in Week One. Brown racked up 74 snaps just last week against the Minnesota Vikings.
