Colorado schools ban Peyton Manning's jersey but not Cam Newton's

A school district in Colorado has banned its students from wearing Peyton Manning jerseys, but not from wearing Cam Newton jerseys.

If that seems backward to you, there's a reason. Manning's No. 18 is associated with a local 18th Street gang, and several other jersey numbers also have gang associations.

However, there's nothing gang-related about Newton's No. 1, so students were free to wear his jerseys this week. Though that might have been even more dangerous than wearing gang attire.
