CINCINNATI -- Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins has been added to the Pro Bowl, replacing the injured Ndamukong Suh from Detroit.

It's Atkins' third Pro Bowl selection. It gives the Bengals three players in the game, along with receiver A.J. Green and punter Kevin Huber.

Atkins was picked despite coming off a subpar season, his first back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He had only three sacks and 34 tackles. Before the knee injury in 2013, Atkins led all interior NFL linemen in sacks.

Defensive coordinator Paul Guenther said after the season that if Atkins can't get back to form next season, the Bengals need to find another tackle who can pressure the passer.
