Buccaneers at Falcons: Wednesday Injury Report
Here is the first injury report of the 2016 season. It’s the Wednesday report for the Buccaneers’ game against the Falcons.
We know that Buccaneers‘ football is here when the injury reports start to come out. That means practice is in full swing, and regular season football is almost upon us. Isn’t it great? Each week throughout the season we will present the injury report and talk about how it might relate to the game.
Let’s get right to it, first for the Bucs:
Player | No. | Pos. | Injury | Wednesday |
Devante Bond | 59 | LB | Hamstring | Limited Participation |
Ryan Smith | 29 | S | Hand | Full Participation |
Luke Stocker | 88 | TE | Back | Did Not Participate |
Nothing really major to see here. The staff was happy with Ryan Smith during training camp, so it’s good to see that whatever is bothering his hand allows him to practice in full. It seems like it’s every man up for your Bucs.
Now here is the report for the home team, the Atlanta Falcons:
Player | No. | Pos. | Injury | Wednesday |
Adrian Clayborn | 99 | DE | Shoulder | Limited Participation |
Dwight Freeney | 93 | DE | Not Injury Related | Did Not Participate |
Kemal Ishmael | 36 | S | Shoulder | Limited Participation |
Julio Jones | 11 | WR | Ankle | Limited Participation |
Keanu Neal | 22 | S | Knee | Did Not Participate |
Robenson Therezie | 27 | S | Thumb | Full Participation |
Terron Ward | 28 | RB | Ankle | Limited Participation |
Now that is interesting. Did anyone expect to see good old Julio on there? Now that would be fun if somehow he didn’t play, wouldn’t it? Unfortunately, the outlook at this point is that he will be a full go come Sunday afternoon. We aren’t getting off that easily. We will monitor the situation all week long in case something changes, but don’t get too excited yet.
So far so good for the Bucs, as it appears that the whole cast of characters will be ready to go on opening day.
