There are few certainties in college sports, but one is this: Brett Favre is unquestionably the most notable athlete to ever step foot on the Southern Miss campus.

And now, there will be another Favre looking to follow in his famous footsteps.

On Tuesday, the Hattiesburg American reported that Breleigh Favre, the youngest daughter of Brett, will be enrolling at USM on a volleyball scholarship.

According to Max Preps, Breleigh has part of the varsity volleyball team at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg since she was in eighth grade, and broke out as a sophomore during the 2014-2015 season. She finished last season with 85 kills, 31 aces and seven blocks according to the American, receiving offers from Samford and West Virginia in the process.

Instead, she will now attend Southern Miss. After years of carrying the Favre name, she will now become an athlete at the school where her father first became famous.

Brett played at Southern Miss from 1987 to 1990, earning the starting job just a few games into his freshman year (after starting as seventh on the depth chart) and never gave it up, leading the Eagles to victories over Florida State and Alabama during his four year career.
