Packers sign LS Brett Goode

The Green Bay Packers signed long snapper Brett Goode, the team announced Saturday.

Goode has played in 142 regular-season contests and 14 playoff games for the Packers since being signed in 2008, including 16 games and all three postseason matchups last season.

The 6-foot-1 long snapper will wear No. 61 in Green Bay.

The Packers signed long snapper Derek Hart in March, so Goode and Hart will battle for the position during the preseason.
