'Inside the Heat: Danny Granger' premieres Feb. 1 on Sun Sports

MIAMI -- On Sunday, Feb. 1 at 4 p.m., FOX's Sun Sports, the regional television home of the Miami HEAT, will debut a new episode of "Inside the HEAT" upon conclusion of the HEAT vs. Boston Celtics game. Titled "Danny Granger," this episode goes behind the scenes with the veteran NBA forward now in his first year with the HEAT.

Hosted by Eric Reid, the show begins with Danny discussing his time growing up in Louisiana, where he spent the majority of his early years with his family, in his school books and playing the game of basketball. Viewers will hear how the influence of his father kept his grades up and helped him graduate top 10 of his class from Grace King High School. Danny also discusses the balance of picking a college for basketball and for his dream of being a civil engineer, and how he ultimately ended up at the University of New Mexico where his life would forever change when he met his wife.

The show then hits the hardwood as HEAT fans follow him through his NBA journey that began in Indiana. It was with the Pacers that he became the leader of a young team, which clashed many times with an all too familiar foe in the HEAT. But when injury arose, he began his pursuit of a new goal to show everyone he is ready to contribute to a new city and organization.
