LaMarcus Aldridge has been dominant ever since deleting his Twitter account

They say NBA players would do best if they eliminated all possible distractions. Maybe social media is one of them.

It's been more than a week now since the Spurs lost to the Warriors by 30 and LaMarcus Aldridge followed by deleting his Twitter account. Aldridge has, absolutely by no coincidence, been superb in each game since, including going for a season-high 36 against the Pelicans on Wednesday. Twitterless Aldridge has been as good as they come:

30.4 minutes

26.0 points

5.5 rebounds

65% field-goal percentage

91% free-throw percentage

So, we have three options:

1) This is a total coincidence, and it's four great games from a great player capable of posting great lines.

2) Aldridge's five-point performance during that 30-point drubbing at the hands of the Dubs gave L.M.A. a little kick in the behind.

3) Twitter is the Rudy Gay of social media, and if you trade it out of your life for something else, you will immediately see a bump in your on-court performance.

You decide.
