SF Giants congratulate fellow Bay Area champions the Golden State Warriors on NBA title
The Golden State Warriors may play on the other side of the Bay, right next to rivals the Oakland Athletics, but the San Francisco Giants came out in full support for their fellow Bay Area team during their NBA title run.
Following their victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, the Giants and many of their players took to social media to congratulate the Warriors on their championship — the team's first since 1975. With the Giants having won the World Series last year, the two Bay Area teams now simultaneously hold the championships for their respective sports for the first time ever.

Although the Warriors play in Oakland, you might say that they have an affinity for the city across the Bay. Earlier this year, Warriors' star and NBA MVP Stephen Curry attended a Giants game at AT&T Park. The Warriors actually have their eyes on a new arena in San Francisco near AT&T.
NBA Champs!! Congrats @warriors! Such a fun team to watch this year #BayAreaUnite #DubNation
