Bill Murray shows up for Cubs game wearing best possible shirt (UPDATE)
The Chicago Cubs took on the San Francisco Giants at the NLDS Game 1 at Wrigley Field on Friday night.
And to commemorate character actor extraordinaire Bill Murray's attendance at the game, a stellar photo of the longtime Cubs fan began circulating on Twitter as Chicago began their postseason bid.
Note the exemplary "I Ain't Afraid of No Goat" shirt that was sported — both a throwback to his "Ghostbusters" past and a nod to the Cubs' quest to win their first World Series in 108 years, and something only he could pull off:
UPDATE: It looks as though this picture may be an old one, as the actor appeared to be wearing a different outfit (and seated in a different section of Wrigley Field) for Friday's game. But after Murray appeared on the FS1 telecast, Javier Baez hit a home run to give the Cubs a 1-0 lead and eventually the win.
Was it Murray magic?
As far as shirts go, this one's a winner.
