PHILADELPHIA (AP) Alek Torgersen threw two touchdown passes and ran for another while Tre Solomon ran for 114 yards and a score to lift Pennsylvania past Central Connecticut State 28-16 on Saturday.

Torgersen's 7-yard run put Penn up 7-0 with 9:28 left in the first quarter, and three minutes later he completed a 19-yard touchdown pass to Nicholas Bokun.
