LAS VEGAS (AP) UNLV coach Marvin Menzies has added a recruit to his first recruiting class in the desert, signing forward Troy Baxter Jr. after he committed to the school last week.

The 6-foot-8 Baxter will be eligible to play for the Runnin' Rebels as a freshman for the 2016-17 season.

Baxter of Tallahassee, Florida, averaged 17 points, 7 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots as a senior at Oldsmar Christian last season.

He originally committed to South Florida, but was released from his national letter of intent.
