Hollins, Thurman lead Omaha over Fullerton 83-73

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) Tra-Deon Hollins scored 20 points and Tre'Shawn Thurman added 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead Omaha to an 83-73 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday night.

Zach Jackson, who made all 10 of his free throws, added 12 points for the Mavericks, who made 25 of 27 free throws to 11 of 24 for Fullerton.

Tre' Coggins had 18 points for Fullerton, which has lost five straight.

Omaha (3-4) led by 17 when the Titans (2-5) used a 14-0 run to close to 48-45 with Coggins' 3-pointer capping the rally with 13:56 left. Fullerton trailed by eight with 3:53 remaining but Omaha then made 15 of 16 free throws.

The game got off to a sluggish start with Fullerton leading just 6-2 after almost five minutes. It was tied 17-all when the Mavericks went on a 21-6 run over the final 6:44 of the first half to lead 37-23.
