Don't expect to see Victor Cruz back on the field in Week 8.

Those hoping that New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz will make his return in Week 8 can probably rule that out already. Cruz talked to Giants reporters Monday about when we can expect to see him at practice and in a game.
“There is no timetable set for me just yet,” WR Victor Cruz told reporters on Monday. “I meet with the doctors again this Thursday and take it from there. I feel better and I know that I’m progressing because the previous MRI showed the area of discomfort has gotten a lot smaller. Hopefully that trend continues and I’ll be out there sooner or later.”
In Cruz's absence, the Giants have struggled to find consistency at the wide receiver position. Defenses are rolling safeties to Odell Beckham Jr.'s side of the field, and receivers Rueben Randle and Dwayne Harris have failed to emerge as weekly producers.
