Arian Foster's run with the Texans comes to an end

After seven years, Arian Foster's time with the Houston Texans is ending.

The running back was informed by the team that he'll be released, according to his agent.

The news was first reported by Adam Schefter.

Foster has 6,472 rushing yards and 54 TDs in 76 games for the Texans, but has been hampered by injuries over the past few seasons. The Texans picked him up in 2009 after he went undrafted.

He turns 30 on Aug. 24. and played in just four games in 2015, averaging 2.6 yards per carry -- well under his career average of 4.5 YPC.
