Dodgers legend Vin Scully pens heartfelt letter of thanks to fans
The Dodgers are honoring the legendary Vin Scully this weekend as the Hall of Fame broadcaster calls the last home games of his storied career.
Fans lucky enough to attend the Colorado Rockies game at Dodger Stadium on Friday received a letter from 88-year-old Scully, thanking them for "allowing him to fulfill a dream of becoming a broadcaster and to live it for 67 years."
And the letter is very much a reflection of Scully himself: Wise, gracious and kind.
"I have always felt that I needed you more than you needed me and that holds true to this very day," he wrote. "I have been privileged to share in your passion and love for this great game."
The privilege is all ours.
