World Series MVP Ben Zobrist held an autograph session in his front yard
Ben Zobrist didn’t spend his first day as World Series MVP at Disney World. Instead, he spent it at home, signing autographs for his neighbors and other Cubs fans.
Here’s the scene from Thursday:
Zobrist lives about two miles from Wrigley Field, something that plenty of people obviously knew Thursday and millions of people know now.
“It wasn't planned,” Zobrist told WGN in Chicago. “I just came outside holding baby talking to neighbors. Next thing you know, people are asking for autographs.”
Zobrist will be signing plenty more autographs on Friday as Chicago celebrates the Cubs’ first World Series title since 1908 with a massive parade.
