Hiura homers as Brewers fall 9-3 to Indians
Keston Hiura provided the highlight for the Milwaukee in its 9-3 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday, accounting for all the Brewers' runs with a home run in the fifth inning off Trevor Bauer.
Bauer, who struck out 10 in 4 2/3 innings, held Milwaukee hitless until Ben Gamel singled to lead off the fifth. One out later, Nate Orf also singled and Hiura followed with his homer. Hiura, Milwaukee's first-round pick in 2017, has three home runs and 10 RBI this spring.
Chase Anderson started for the Brewers and allowed three runs in the first inning. He lasted four innings, giving up four runs on five hits.
Milwaukee was held to five hits, with prospects Lucas Erceg (single) and Corey Ray (double) providing the other base knocks.
