Sens' Leclaire sidelined with broken cheekbone

Ottawa Senators starting goaltender Pascal Leclaire will be sidelined about a month with a broken cheekbone.

The team said Tuesday that he suffered the injury while sitting on the bench during the 4-3 overtime win Monday against Washington.

A dump-in attempt by Senators center Mike Fisher struck a stick and sailed into the Ottawa bench, rebounding off the glass and off the right side of Leclaire's face.

Leclaire was serving as backup to Brian Elliott because he'd suffered a slight injury to his lower body in a win over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.
