Seahawks rookie Frank Clark says he is going to make the fans proud
Seattle Seahawks controversial second-round pick Frank Clark finally had a chance to address the media over the weekend at the Seahawks rookie minicamp.
Clark took his spot at the podium looking happy and relieved just to be there.
“I’m blessed,” Clark said. “I haven’t played football since November, and just being back out here and the Seattle Seahawks giving me an opportunity to play the game I love once again, I can’t ask for much more.”
Clark was kicked off the University of Michigan football team in November after a domestic violence arrest. The arrest eventually got reduced to a disorderly conduct charge.
He has been under constant scrutiny since being selected by the Seahawks, but believes he can turn the opinion around of many fans who disagreed with the pick.
“One thing I’m going to do is make (the fans) proud,” Clark said. “You know, I believe they for the most part have stood by me during this whole time. They’ve been very supportive. … They see a lot of hopes in me, and I’m going to make them proud.”
