Lions' offensive line ranked worst unit in NFL by Pro Football Focus

The Detroit Lions have plenty of problems, as they enter Week 5 sporting an 0-4 record. But their biggest problem is, by far, the poor performance of the offensive line.

On Wednesday, the player-grading media outlet Pro Football Focus (PFF) ranked Detroit's offensive line 32nd in the NFL. For reference, the same outlet ranked the Lions' O-line 14th at the end of last season.

Breaking it down further, Detroit's line earned a run-blocking rank of 27th and a pass-blocking rank of 32nd from PFF. Guard Manuel Ramirez was highlighted as the unit's best performer with a grade of plus-4.0; center Travis Swanson was the worst with a grade of minus-11.0.

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has only been sacked six times this season but he's constantly under duress and has absorbed many hits. What's even worse is Detroit's running game, which has averaged a league-low 47.0 yards per game.

For the Lions to have any shot at winning a game this season, the offensive line must improve drastically.
