Rockies reinstate Nick Hundley from disabled list

DENVER (AP) The Colorado Rockies reinstated catcher Nick Hundley from the disabled list and optioned struggling right-hander Jordan Lyles to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Hundley has been out since mid-April with a concussion. He was in the starting lineup Monday as the Rockies opened a four-game series against Pittsburgh.

In other moves, the team recalled righty Scott Oberg from Albuquerque and optioned catcher Dustin Garneau to the Isotopes.

Manager Walt Weiss said the reason for sending down Lyles was to give him a chance to work on his command in a less stressful environment. Lyles had a rough outing Sunday against Los Angeles when he lasted just 2 2-3 innings and allowed seven runs (five earned).

He's 1-1 with a 7.64 ERA in four starts.
