Southern Miss, UTEP join forces to win Halloween uniform contest

A Halloween "blackout?" That's no big deal; it's become a pretty regular thing over the last couple seasons in college football, and there are numerous schools -- including Texas A&M, Utah, Washington and Kentucky -- planning to roll out alternate black threads Saturday night.
But Southern Miss and UTEP are taking things to another level with a perfectly Halloween-themed uniform matchup. In a Conference USA contest in Hattiesburg, the home Eagles will be wearing their standard all-black home uniforms and the visiting Miners will be wearing their traditional home orange unis.

The black-and-orange theme had to be specially approved by Conference USA, which apparently has some Halloween spirit.
