Jeremiah Coney - Transfers to UTEP Coney is transferring to Texas-El Paso, per 247sports.
Impact Coney appeared in three games for Virginia Tech during the 2-25 campaign, carrying the ball eight times for 47 yards. He has two years of eligibility remaining and will likely serve as a depth running back for UTEP next season.

Kenny Odom - Hitting portal Odom plans on entering the transfer portal, On3 Sports reports.
Impact After a pair of productive seasons at UTEP, Odom is entering his name into the transfer portal, possibly in hopes of heading to a power conference school. He has one year of eligibility remaining. In two seasons with the Miners, Odom totaled 108 receptions for 1,323 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.

Impact It's nice that the senior got a chance to return after missing UTEP's last game, and that he got to catch a touchdown. While college eligibility feels increasingly flexible these days, this could have been Willis' final game.

Josh Schuchts - Finds the end zone Schuchts caught four passes for 87 yards and a touchdown against Delaware on Saturday.
Impact An anomalous 64-yard catch led to Schuchts ending his season with his best game. That one catch topped his yardage in any other game this year.

Kenny Odom - Tallies seven receptions Odom caught seven passes for 94 yards and a touchdown Saturday versus Delaware.
Impact Odom probably has the most frustration for this season on the Miners offense. He followed the Austin Peay staff to UTEP and last season had 46 catches for 741 yards and eight touchdowns. This year, though, quarterback play left him something akin to a possession receiver. His receptions went up to 62 in 11 games, but his yardage and touchdown went down. Odom could be a transfer portal possibility.

Impact The redshirt freshman showed big-play potential once he was worked into a role in the offense. David caught 25 passes all season, but he had three 100-yard games and six touchdowns.

Skyler Locklear - All over the place in finale Locklear went 22-for-40 for 338 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions against Delaware on Saturday.
Impact Imagine playing in a college football game, throwing four touchdowns, but still hurting your TD-to-INT ratio. It's understandable why the UTEP staff tried to move away from Locklear this offseason. The problem was it took a shot on Malachi Nelson, now locked in as an all-time recruiting bust. It's easy to assume the Miners will try to replace Locklear again this offseason.

Eric Willis III - Playing vs. Delaware Willis (undisclosed) is off the injury report for Saturday's game against Delaware.
Impact Willis was listed questionable leading up to the game as he dealt with an undisclosed injury but is apparently back to full health. The senior wide receiver has played a decent role for the offense as he reels in 23 receptions for 267 yards and one touchdown across 10 games.

Impact The redshirt freshman hasn't been involved a lot, but he knows how to make a splash. Davis has turned 22 catches in 492 yards and five touchdowns. Will this lead to a bigger role at UTEP next season, or perhaps a trip into the transfer portal in hopes of finding better QB play?

Kenny Odom - Catches TD Odom caught eight passes for 84 yards and a score Saturday versus NMSU.
Impact In his last five games Odom also has an outing with 10 catches for 67 yards and a touchdown and a game with six catches for 51 yards and a touchdown. This is not a big-play passing game, clearly, but Odom is the guy who gets the most looks, and who manages some degree of production.

Ashten Emory - Best game yet Emory ran 18 times for 181 yards and a touchdown versus NMSU on Saturday. He also caught two passes for 11 yards.
Impact Emory became the number-one back at the same time Skyler Locklear became the number-one quarterback, and the UTEP offense benefited from both decisions. Over his last five games, the redshirt freshman Locklear has averaged 6.4 yards per carry and gotten over 100 total yards twice.

Impact Locklear isn't the best passer, though he is better than Malachi Nelson, but he does bring a dynamic to the offense that helps it move. In what amounts to essential six games worth of action Nelson has rushed for 401 yards and eight touchdowns.

Impact This comes after Willis had his first touchdown last week. Still, this represents a season high in receiving yards for Willis, so the ceiling isn't all that high coming down the stretch.

Impact Odom did rush once for five yards, and he did get to return a kickoff. Still, this is pretty bleak for a guy who was productive for the Miners last season and had over 100 total yards and a touchdown in each of the first two games of this season. The struggles for the UTEP offense have brought Odom down, but it is also fair to say Odom has contributed to those struggles some as well.

Impact The redshirt freshman hasn't always looked good this season, but he's totaled five touchdowns. He's also averaged 5.0 yards per carries over his last four games. With another lost season down in El Paso, it would make sense to see what this young running back can do with more touches.

Impact It's clear to see what Locklear brings to the UTEP offense over Malachi Nelson (other than the fact Nelson is bad at football). He's not the best passer, but over his last five games Locklear has rushed 77 times for 321 yards and seven scores.
