Community Partner of the Month: USO San Diego

USO San Diego strengthens America’s military by keeping them connected to family home and country throughout their time in service.

The San Diego Padres and USO San Diego are teaming up to unveil the newly renovated Military Kids Club space at Dewey Elementary on Monday, August 12, 2019.

USO San Diego works with local school districts and other non-profits to provide counselors and therapists for kids of military families. Group sessions, gatherings and a way for kids to communicate with their deployed parent(s) are all offered at these schools. With Dewey Elementary made up of 98% military kids, the Military Kids Club provides counseling and therapy services for their students. The renovated space will feature newly donated furniture by Jerome’s, technological equipment and more.
