Running back issue lingers for Cowboys on final day of draft
IRVING, Texas (AP) The question of adding a running back lingers for Dallas going into the final day of the draft.
The Cowboys skipped on getting help through the first three rounds despite losing NFL rushing champion DeMarco Murray to NFC East rival Philadelphia in free agency.
Dallas has picks in the fourth and fifth rounds and two in the seventh Saturday. The sixth-round pick went to Baltimore in last year's trade for linebacker Rolando McClain.
Owner and general manager Jerry Jones says the Cowboys can start the season with a current group that includes Darren McFadden, Joseph Randle, Lance Dunbar and Ryan Williams.
There's a strong chance the Cowboys will take at least one back because they had targets through the first three rounds.
