Lions have one veteran, one newbie in this year's Pro Bowl

The NFL announced the 2016 Pro Bowl roster on Tuesday, and the Detroit Lions have two representatives in the annual all-star game. Wide receiver Calvin Johnson will make his sixth appearance; defensive end Ezekiel Ansah will make his first.

Via Lions senior writer Tim Twentyman:

Johnson, 30, is a regular participant at the Pro Bowl. With six straight 1,000-yard seasons, he owns the NFL's longest active streak. The man known as Megatron is still one of the toughest players to cover at 6-foot-5 and 237 pounds.

Ansah, 26, is in his third season and is a budding pass-rusher. He has 13.5 sacks, a total that's tied with Houston's J.J. Watt for second most in the NFL. The former fifth-overall draft pick has developed into a legitimate difference-maker.
