Report: Cowboys LG Ronald Leary to have MRI on back
La'El Collins had a dominant debut with the Dallas Cowboys in their preseason opener last week. He earned the highest grade of any offensive player in the NFL in preseason Week 1.
Now he might got an extended opportunity to play with the first team unit. Incumbent starting left guard Ronald Leary has complained about back soreness, and according to ESPN's Todd Archer, he will have an MRI to form a better opinion on what's bothering him.
Leary will likely miss extended practice time, and in his absence, Collins will slide in to the left guard spot with the first team offense. The Cowboys don't believe Leary's injury is serious, but any time missed provides Collins with an excellent opportunity to prove that he belongs with the first team offensive line.
