Dak Prescott is more important to the Cowboys than Ezekiel Elliott

Most Dallas Cowboys fans are simply happy they have two star rookies to root for this season: running back Ezekiel Elliott and quarterback Dak Prescott.

In fact, those two players lead the league in Pro Bowl voting, with Elliott at No. 1 and Prescott at No. 2. But even though Elliott is leading the league in rushing and is already regarded as perhaps the NFL’s best running back just 12 games into his pro career, Skip Bayless said on Tuesday’s “Undisputed” that Prescott is the player more important to the Cowboys this season.

The reason, to Bayless, is simple:

“I’m always going to take the quarterback over the running back. I love Zeke, I love the offensive line … the quarterback is the triggerman. He’s the one who has to avoid mistakes and make decisions, and that’s all this kid has done all year long.”

Bayless makes a good point — if Prescott’s ridiculous 19-to-2 TD pass-to-interception ratio didn’t already do it for him. Watch the video above for the rest of his debate with co-host Shannon Sharpe and guest Eric Mangini.
