UNC Football: Tar Heels get commitment from 2017 four-star recruit
Tar Heels get big commitment from 2017 defensive tackle
On Monday afternoon, the University of North Carolina got a big commitment from 2017 four-star prospect Xack Gill.
Gill, a 6-foot-5, 270-pound defensive tackle is a top-300 player according to the 247Sports Composite as well as a top-20 player at his position and top-10 in the state of North Carolina.
Although rumors have recently swirled about the potential departure of Larry Fedora, the fifth-year UNC head coach has been hard at work on the recruiting trail.
Apparently, it’s paying off.
The Tar Heels now have 16 players committed to their 2017 class including six four-star players. And you can see the excitement coming out of Chapel Hill with the news of their latest commitment.
Along with UNC, the Wake Forest native had offers from LSU, Miami, North Carolina State, Penn State, Tennessee, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.
