WWE fired Hulk Hogan, the biggest star in the history of the company, in July of 2015 after audio of the Hall of Famer using racist language captured in 2012 was reported. Hogan was wiped from the WWE website and his name was not mentioned on WWE programming for nearly a year.

There have been [very] small signs in the past few months that WWE could be easing Hogan back into the picture. Shane McMahon spoke openly about Hogan during his Tell-All Podcast in May, and John Cena did a must-see Hogan impersonation (in costume) on an NBC late-night show in June. Following the conclusion of his sex tape trial this summer, Hogan's voice was included in the latest package promoting the WWE Network, which airs regularly during pay-per-views.

Hogan's daughter Brooke sparked speculation that Hogan's return could be more imminent than anyone thought in a short TMZ interview that was shared Sunday, claiming that "people have been calling him for WrestleMania."

On Wednesday, Hogan denied that he has had any contact with WWE in an appearance on Eric Bischoff's podcast. You can listen to the full interview here.

"Brooke needs to get the big yellow boot to the head.... Brooke’s running around on TMZ and made the statement about me and wrestling and WrestleMania. For the record, like I said, she needs the big boot to the head. I haven’t talked to anybody about WrestleMania. I just need to put that to rest. I asked Brooke, “What are you doing?”

She goes, “Oh, well, I’m just starting it up.”
