Max Scherzer struck out 12 in seven innings for Washington but allowed three runs and 10 hits. Adam Eaton had two doubles, three hits and two RBIs, and Victor Robles had a hit and a stolen base.
Neil Walker hit his third homer of the spring for Miami, and Starlin Castro had three hits.
