Robby Fabbri's strong NHL start is on hold.

Fabbri made the St. Louis Blues' roster out of training camp and played in their first two games, scoring the game-winning goal in his NHL debut, a 3-1 win over Edmonton. Two days later at Minnesota, the 5-foot-10, 180-pound forward suffered a concussion on a hit by former Blue Chris Porter in the first period. On Wednesday, the Blues put Fabbri on injured reserve.

To fill his roster spot, the Blues recalled defenseman Chris Butler from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.

Butler, 28, appeared in 33 games with the Blues last season, logging nine points (three goals, six assists) and 23 penalty minutes. The St. Louis native, who posted an assist in his only game with the Wolves this season, has accumulated 84 points (13 goals, 71 assists) and 181 penalty minutes in 382 career NHL regular-season games.
