Practice 2 results for Pure Michigan 400 at MIS
Tony Stewart was fastest in Saturday morning’s second round of practice ahead of Sunday’s Pure Michigan 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway.
Stewart, competing in his final race at MIS, laid down a blazing fast best lap of 202.122 miles per hour in the No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet.
Ryan Blaney finished second with a lap of 201.427 mph in his No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing Ford.
Chevrolet made up the rest of the top five, as Chase Elliott, Kurt Busch, and Kyle Larson followed Blaney.
Martin Truex Jr. was the fastest Toyota in the session with a lap of 200.848 mph.
This 55-minute round of practice was the first of two Saturday sessions, as final practice is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. ET.
