Report: Vernon Adams will take final exam Thursday, should know if he's eligible then

Published Aug. 10, 2015 7:27 p.m. ET

According to a report by Sports Illustrated's Lindsey Schnell, incoming Oregon QB Vernon Adams Jr. will take his final exam as an undergraduate student on Thursday at 12:30 PM PST.

If Adams passes his test, he will officially graduate from Eastern Washington University and become eligible to play for the Oregon Ducks this season.

Adams is currently in Eugene studying for his final exam and tells Sports Illustrated, via text message, that he's been "studying like crazy" to pass his final class.

According to Schnell, the plan right now is "to take the exam, wait a few minutes to find out if he passed and then, hopefully, race over to the football complex". There's also a chance Adams misses practice on Thursday and starts on Friday.

Though classes at Oregon do not start until the end of September, Adams told Sports Illustrated that this is his "last shot." If he does not pass, Adams is undecided as to what he would do.
