Missouri State seeks turnaround in 2016
(STATS) - Missouri State will look to rebound in coach Dave Steckel's second season, playing five home games as part of an 11-game schedule announced Tuesday.
The Tigers finished 1-10, beating only a non-Division I team, and in last place in the Missouri Valley Football Conference in Steckel's first season.
They hope to get off to a strong start on Sept. 1 when NAIA member Southwestern College pays a visit to Robert W. Plaster Stadium.
Within the MVFC schedule, Missouri State will host five-time reigning FCS champion North Dakota State (Oct. 8), Western Illinois (Oct. 15), Southern Illinois (Oct. 29) and Youngstown State (Nov. 19).
