Whitehead scores 22 points, Seton Hall beats Creighton 75-65

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) Isaiah Whitehead scored 22 points and Seton Hall beat Creighton 75-65 on Saturday.

Whitehead was 9 of 17 from the field and made 4 of 6 3-point attempts while notching six assists for the Pirates (15-6, 5-4 Big East). Desi Rodriguez scored 14 points with 10 assists, Angel Delgado had 13 points and grabbed 12 boards and Ismael Sanogo added 12 points.

James Milliken led Creighton (14-8, 5-4) with 21 points, while Maurice Watson Jr. added 14 points and six assists. The Bluejays made just 6 of 23 (26 percent) from beyond the arc and were outrebounded 46-27.

Seton Hall scored the last seven points of the first half and led 40-27 at the break.

The lead grew to 54-32 in the first 3:12 of the second half - with Rodriguez' 3-pointer capping a 14-5 run - before Creighton called timeout. The Bluejays cut it to 10 with 5:42 left, but got no closer.
