Real Madrid didn't have Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale on Sunday, which would be a problem for pretty much any team in the world. It could have even been a problem for the Merengues. But it wasn't, thanks to James Rodriguez and his delicious nutmegs.

James is supposed to be a nice person. A good person. A person who cares about other people's feelings and well-being. Yet here he is snatching Pape Diop's soul and stomping all over it. That's just cruel and unusual. You can't do such filthy things to other human beings like that.

But also please you for doing this, James. This kind of savagery is the most beautiful part of the sport. It sustains us.

It also sustained Real Madrid without Ronaldo and Bale, as the Merengues walked away 2-0 winners.
