Watch the Bruins score on themselves in hilarious fashion

Colin Miller did not have himself the best night at the office on Thursday night.

The 24-year-old Boston Bruins defenseman committed an embarrassing gaffe in the third period of Thursday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets when he accidentally put the puck into his team's net for an own goal.

Following a defensive zone face-off win, Miller attempted to carry the puck behind the net to transition the play up ice. Instead, he lost control of the puck and watched it slide off his stick and through the legs of Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask for the goal.

Obviously, that's a pretty awful look for Miller and the Bruins, but luckily it came while they held a 5-1 lead over the Blue Jackets, so it wasn't a death blow. They ended up holding onto the 5-2 lead for the win, but it's safe to say that Miller owes Rask a steak dinner or something for delivering a blow to his stats with this bonehead play.
