Limited role through first quarter Miller was scratched for the 15th time in 20 games when he sat out Friday's 4-3 loss to the Hurricanes.

Impact Miller hasn't been able to carve out a regular role, though he has no points and a minus-1 rating over his five appearances this season. Even with Haydn Fleury (concussion) sidelined, it's been Luke Schenn to see a larger role. Miller will have to wait for his next opportunity, which may take an injury or two to other blueliners. He had 15 points in 60 regular-season outings in 2024-25, but he won't come anywhere near that mark if he continues to sit out.

Draws in, earns assist Miller notched a power-play assist, five hits and two PIM in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Blues in Game 3.

Impact Miller is not in the Jets' usual plans on defense, but he appears to be the next man up when another blueliner is unavailable. That happened Thursday with Dylan DeMelo (illness) being a late scratch. Miller had 15 points, 68 shots on net, 84 hits, 50 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating across 60 regular-season appearances in 2024-25, mainly in a bottom-four role.

Impact Miller got a chance to fill a larger role Sunday with Josh Morrissey and Neal Pionk out of the lineup for rest. Prior to Sunday, Miller had been scratched for the previous three games. The 32-year-old has seen some power-play time recently when Pionk was out due to a lower-body injury. Overall, Miller has 15 points (two on the power play), 68 shots on net, 84 hits, 50 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating over 60 appearances this season. He may not be an every-game player in the postseason.

Impact With Neal Pionk (lower body) looking ready to return to action, Miller once again finds himself as the odd man out on the blue line. Deadline acquisition Luke Schenn seems to have positioned himself ahead of Miller on the depth chart, which could force Miller to play on his offside if he wants to get back into the lineup.

Impact Miller missed the morning skate due to his illness and is questionable to be ready to face the Blues on Monday. If Miller isn't available, Haydn Fleury looks set to play for just the second time in Winnipeg's last eight contests. Given his lack of offensive upside, Miller's potential absence is unlikely to impact the majority of fantasy players.

He's in the lineup more often than not, but if his play slips, Haydn Fleury or Ville Heinola could get a look. Impact Miller's playing time could be at risk after the Jets acquired fellow right-shot defenseman Luke Schenn at the trade deadline. The 32-year-old Miller has largely played a third-pairing role this season, earning 11 points over 47 appearances, including two assists over his last seven games. Miller and Schenn are different players in style -- Miller has a little more scoring upside, while Schenn is an ultra-physical player, so who gets the last spot in the lineup in any given game may depend on the opposing team's playing style.
