Country music star Lee Greenwood was present to sing his patriotic standard “God Bless the USA” at the Redskins-Saints game on Sunday. In the second quarter, ESPN 980 invited him into the Redskins radio booth to enjoy the action. And then he got to live the dream of many fans out there – he got to actually call a play! And, not only that, he got to call a Redskins touchdown!

Greenwood was at the mic when Matt Jones cut loose on a 78-yard screen pass against the warm butter that is also known as the Saints defense.

And how did Greenwood do?  Well… let’s just say he probably doesn’t have a second career in front of him…
